The protein and sandwich supplier AdvancePierre Foods has completed the acquisition of the manufacturing assets of American stuffed sandwich maker Better Bakery on undisclosed terms.
Better Bakery's production operations will now be moved to AdvancePierre's sandwich making facility in Caseyville, Illinois which was acquired last month from Landshire.
Better Bakery produces quality, stuffed sandwiches and other licensed products including Pretzel Melts, Skinny Melts and Breakfast Melts.
With this acquisition, AdvancePierre will expand its presence in on-trend, clean label products.
In addition, Better Bakery's handcrafted stuffed sandwiches expands AdvancePierre's ready-to-eat sandwich platform and enables new distribution and market penetration with premium and natural food customers.
AdvancePierre Foods announced this acquisition in February this year.
The company currently offers a range of packaged sandwiches including fully cooked beef, chicken, and pork products, and uncooked meat items such as Philly-style steak, breaded beef and stuffed chicken entrees. Moreover, it also provides bakery products that are all produced from high-quality ingredients.
