Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors (MMC) is planning to increase the production capacity and construct a new manufacturing facility in Indonesia.
Both the moves are expected to support the company to address the increasing demands for vehicles in the emerging Asian markets.
MMC spokesman said, "It is true that we are considering strengthening our operations in Indonesia, but nothing has been decided as of now,"
The manufacturer along with its partners is planning to construct a new manufacturing facility in Indonesia with an investment of about JPY40b ($422.90m) and is expected to start from March 2017, according to a report from the Nikkei business daily.
