Catering packaging and labelling manufacturer Planglow is launching a deli-style range at The Hospitality Show
Product details:
Label and packaging provider Planglow has launched a new compostable collection – Gastro - which showcases a range of premium deli-style packaging and labelling products. The range will be officially launched to caterers at The Hospitality Show next week.
The range includes a wedge and snack cube, wrap, bloomer and salad packs, as well as bags, labels and stickers.
A chalk on slate effect is the trademark of the Gastro image and the range.
The ten packaging products in the Gastro range each come with a laminate film which acts as a large viewing window and helps retains product freshness - it is also fully home compostable.
The matt-finish sheet labels are available in two shapes - a rectangular label, ideal for sandwich packs, and a watch strap label, which can also be used as a tamper evident break seal.
Like the majority of the Bristol-based company's label and ticketing items, both of the Gastro labels can be overprinted with product information, logos, slogans and other branding elements using Planglow’s printing software.
Also in the collection is a greaseproof deli paper which offers a premium packaging alternative or additional high-end presentation element.
USP:
The manufacturer believes the product 'creates an excellent presentation' for food and is 'unlike anything else currently available'.

Why should you buy it?
Planglow marketing director Rachael Sawtell said: “We are ever mindful of the wider industry and are constantly anticipating new trends and innovations that will set our customers ahead of the competition.
"So, having observed the use of slate in fine dining, as well as the ever growing popularity of ingredients of notable preparation or provenance, we are delighted to have created a collection that’s not only streets ahead but value adding too.
"Gastro has such an impressive impact when seen together on the counter or in the chiller, it won’t be long before slate products dominate not only fine dining but gourmet grab and go too," she added.
