Skoda is set to begin the production of its next generation Fabia at the company’s Czech factory.
The company utilized the Mladá Boleslav factory shutdown for holiday to prepare for the production to start by the end of August.
The company is integrating the new Fabia engines into the production process, and the car will feature a new range of engine which includes four petrol variant and three diesel variant engines.
The new engine will reduce the energy consumption of the Fabia up to 17%, making the car more environmental friendly.
Skoda head of production of vehicles Marek Jancák said: "The new Fabia really does represent: small car, big on technology."
"More importantly we have expanded and technically updated important areas of the M1 assembly line in Mladá Boleslav."
