Portuguese bus company Greenbus has augmented its fleet by purchasing two Setra S 516 HDH touring coaches. The two three-axle vehicles, equipped with the TopSky Panorama glass roof, are the first Setra TopClass 500 models to be delivered to Portugal.
Company proprietor Paulo Santos was visibly proud when he attended the official vehicle handover at the Setra Customer Centre in Neu-Ulm, Germany: "The two new buses will gain us lots of attention on the Portuguese market and also boost our image as a flagship company in the premium segment."
With their silver stone metallic paint finish, the luxury buses each measure 13.33 m in length and are equipped with 55 Setra Voyage Ambassador seats featuring leather design elements. Outstanding levels of passenger and driver safety are assured, among other things, by adaptive cruise control with Active Brake Assist 3 (ABA 3) - a system that can initiate full brake application when the vehicle detects stationary obstacles.
Established in 2007 and based in Porto, bus company Greenbus specialises in premium and VIP bus services. The two S 516 HDH models are the first new Setra vehicles the company has ordered in its short history, during which passengers using the high-class touring service have included international football teams, golfers and business travellers.
The TopClass 500 unveiled by the Setra brand two years ago marks a new generation of touring coaches combining luxurious appointments with outstanding economy. For operators providing exclusive travel services, the new Setra premium products act as a calling card. Following the successful start of series production, the new flagship Setra vehicle has already been honoured with the "Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014", a globally recognised seal of quality.
