BPI Sports Takes Control Over Distribution in Canada

BPI Sports, a sports nutrition company, has announced that it will no longer be utilizing the services of 3rd party distributors.

BPI Sports will instead be utilizing their own current infrastructure to distribute straight to retail. This new strategy will allow BPI Sports to stay competitive, improve already solid relationships, and connect with the consumer. As social media continues to evolve, so will BPI Sports. BPI believes that this fully integrated model will increase efficiencies while decreasing liabilities. This news comes as BPI Sports readies itself for the much-anticipated launch of the BEST PROTEIN BAR. This latest addition to BPI's product line, boasts 20g of protein per bar, high fiber, low fat, low sugar, and a sustainable texture like no other.

Moving forward, BPI Sports will continue to market and sell select products at only the finest Canadian retailers, such as Popeye's Supplements, Supplements Canada, and GNC Canada. BPI Sports looks forward to solidifying these relationships by offering greater benefits immediately.

"Handling the distribution of our products in Canada just makes sense. Now, we'll be able to offer retailers increased margins, easier access to quality supplements and streamlined logistics," says Chris MacKenzie, Vice President of BPI Sales. "Given the new economic trends, taking over distribution of our products is just one more tool in our arsenal that allows us to remain competitive. The direct-to-retailer strategy encourages even stronger partnerships with the finest retailers in north of the border, giving them a chance to truly connect with our brand while making it affordable for the consumer."

Taking control of distribution allows BPI Sports to directly deal with business challenges and concerns as well as help navigate the pricing issues of a competitive market.
