Molson Coors Brewing and Heineken have extended their marketing partnership in Canada, wherein the former will distribute five additional Heineken brands across the country.
The signing of a multi-year agreement to this effect comes in response to the increasing consumer demand for imported beers in Canada.
As per the agreed terms, Molson Coors will market and distribute Dos Equis, Sol, Tecate, Birra Moretti and Desperados in addition to Heineken, Murphy's, Newcastle and Strongbow which it already distributes in the country.
Heineken Canada GM Laurent Odinot said: "We look forward to our expanded partnership with Molson Coors, with a joint focus on increased investment in brands.
"Molson Coors' strong, established presence in Canada and its emphasis on continued innovation will undoubtedly help Heineken's wide range of products reach even more consumers."
Additionally, Molson Coors has agreed to extend the existing partnership with Heineken to distribute Coors Light in Ireland.
