CFIA Is Warning People Not to Consume Certain Macau Honghong Brand Cracker Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people not to consume certain Macau Honghong brand Cracker products as they may contain sesame or almond which is not declared on the label.

The products associated with the warning include 300g Macau Honghong Rice Cracker, 500g Macau Honghong Almond Cracker and 200g Macau Honghong Salted Almond Cracker bearing UPC codes 6 924535 411091, 6 924535 411107 and 6 924535 409180, respectively.

CFIA has issued the warning after receiving a consumer complaint and is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of these or other products.

If a recall is initiated, CFIA will notify the public through a Food Recall Warning.

No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of the affected products so far.

Consumption of these products may cause serious or life-threatening reaction in people allergic to sesame or almond.
