Essential Cuisine, an England-based supplier of stocks and sauces to the catering industry, has established a new manufacturing facility in Winsford, Cheshire, to bring all its production in-house.
The 16,000ft2 facility will allow the company to expand its production capacity and accelerate its growth strategy. It has created 15 new jobs.
Located behind the company's existing office and warehouse premises, the £1m investment for the facility was supported by HSBC's Liverpool Commercial Centre.
The company has annual revenues of £5m and employs about 39 people across its operations.
Essential Cuisine finance director Nigel Scott said, "Our growth was being constrained by outsourcing manufacturing, so it was a natural step to develop our own production facilities."
"This gives us greater control, cost efficiencies and the capacity to expand the business; we currently operate a single shift production facility, so there is plenty of headroom for growth," Scott added.
HSBC Liverpool area commercial director Rikki Griffiths said, "Essential Cuisine's investment has benefited both the business and also the local economy with the creation of 15 new jobs."
"It has a clear growth strategy and a strong and experienced management team, both key ingredients for success," Griffiths added.
