Audi has unveiled its TT RS Coupe and TT RS Roadster at the Beijing Auto Show.
The sale of TT RS Coupe and TT RS Roadster in Europe are due to start in fall 2016.
Audi board member for technical development Dr.-Ing. Stefan Knirsch said: "The new aluminum five-cylinder engine delivers 400 hp, which is 60 hp more than its predecessor.
"Together with the quattro drive, it ensures sporty driving pleasure with maximum traction. Audi uses Matrix OLED technology in the rear lights for the first time."
The cars are powered by Audi's newly developed 5 cylinder 2.5 liter TFSI (Turbo fuel stratified injection) engine producing power of 294kW (400hp) and a torque of 480Nm (354 lb-ft) between 1700 and 5850 rpm.
The power produced from the engine is delivered to the wheels through seven speed S tronic transmission system.
Audi claims that gear-shift with this transmission system is lightning fast. Power can be easily distributed between the axles with multi-plate clutch system.
The TT RS Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, the Roadster in 3.9 seconds. Audi regulates the top speed at 250 km/h, or at 280 km/h after request.
Controls and display in the cockpit are all focused on the driver, with the data being displayed on standard 12.3 inch screen.
