The Certificate Verifies The Recycled Content Claims of The Line of Polyester Films

Global producer of packaging films Klöckner Pentaplast has received the 'Certificate of Verification' from NSF International for its line of SmartCycle post-consumer recycled (PCR) content polyester films.

The certificate verifies the recycled content claims of the line of polyester films produced by the company in North America.

Designed for thermoform, food, and box packaging applications, the SmartCycle films have PCR content range of 25% to 100%, as well as heat-seal and RF-seal formulations. The films save natural resources and energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and keep waste out of landfills.

According to the company, the films comply with all FDA regulations for direct food contact and also all applicable food contact EU regulations and directives.

Klockner Pentaplast Group director of global sustainability and environmental affairs Patty Enneking said, "SmartCycle post-consumer-recycled (PCR) content films were developed to help meet customers' sustainable packaging goals."
