This latest agreement follows the recent announcement of a contract with BP Norway and a substantial win for engineering work on BP UK's entire North Sea platform drilling assets.

PD&MS Energy has opened an office in Baku, Azerbaijan, creating 25 jobs locally with additional positions being created in Aberdeen to support the Azerbaijan based project delivery team. The contract covers BP-operated facilities in the Caspian Sea and will be the company's largest overseas contract to date.

Simon Rio, managing director of PD&MS Energy, said: "Following key UK and Norway contract successes with BP, this latest award is a major step forward in our strategy to grow the business internationally.

PD&MS Energy recorded turnover of $47m for its year-end in June 2013 – a rise of 47% on its 2012 figure. The business is also looking to secure office space to house up to 400 personnel as part of its continued growth plans.

"The significant growth we have experienced over the past two-three years has been achieved by securing long term EPC contracts such as this with a number of clients. Our reputation continues to gain momentum in the UK and overseas and our plans to double the size of the business from our current standing by 2016 are not unrealistic. The diversity of the services that we provide and our responsiveness to clients' needs have been key to our success. They are values which we will maintain as we continue to grow."
