After a short decline in the course of the reported week the New York cotton futures rose again due to news on the situation in China.
Cotton area is expected to decrease and quality requirements for the National Reserve were discussed which could lead to a continuous or possibly rising import demand.
Therefore prices and quotations on the Bremen market as well remained stable in general during the course of the week.
Hardly changed prices, the expiring company holidays as well as obviously sufficient supplies and last but not least the upcoming fair “Heimtextil” contributed to the fact that the processing industry deterred itself from purchase.
