Design consultancy Casa Rex has developed the packaging and global guidelines for Unilever’s new mouthwash range, Expert Protection.
The agency developed a new functional structure that has a better appeal compared to the earlier packaging.
Previously the packaging, which presented a cluttered image, composed of scattered text and icons, could not help consumers recognize the respective functional benefits of each product.
Casa Rex head Gustavo Piqueira said the company created easily understandable three-step hierarchy by removing unnecessary clutter and re-organizing the key benefit visuals of each variant.
"Signal, along with the other Unilever Oral Care brands, takes on new life through a fresh burst of movement, and a new prime position at the top of the packs, whilst the Expert Protection branding introduces new aspirational lines and fluid light effects, endorsing its premium aesthetic and alignment with its high quality proposition," Piqueira said.
