Fizik has produced 15 custom saddles in different shades of red and is auctioning 11 of them with proceeds going to World Bicycle Relief. The saddles are on display at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, which kicked off Friday in Denver, Colorado.
“Fizik really wanted to focus on the handmade story behind their product and we thought what better way to encompass the ethos of our brand than producing some one-of-a-kind saddles for NAHBS,” said Adam Bookwalter, North American manager for Fizik.
The Pros Closet is hosting the 10-day auction, which started in conjunction with the opening of the handmade show.
World Bicycle Relief is a Chicago-based nonprofit that provides quality bicycles to people living in sub-Saharan Africa. It was founded in 2005 by SRAM’s F.K. Day and wife Leah Missbach Day. To date, WBR has provided more than 120,000 bicycles and trained over 200 field mechanics.
