A project of the Muar Furniture Export Association (MFEA), the annual Export Furniture Exhibition Malaysia (EFE), returns for another exciting year. Formerly called the Malaysia Export Exhibition (MAFEX), the trade show founded 2004 is set to welcome its ninth installation this month.
One of the biggest efforts in the regional furniture calendar by the industry for the industry, the latest edition of EFE is set to target furniture and furnishing wholesalers, retailers, designers, architects, importers and exporters. Main products attendees can expect to be introduced to an extensive variety of high-quality bedroom, dining, living room collections as well as sofa sets and garden furniture.
Scheduled to commence from March 06 - 10, 2013 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park (MAEPS) in Serdang, the upcoming five-day event will carry the theme, ‘Gathering of All Furn1ture Manufacturers’ (the ‘I’ is deliberately replaced with the digit ‘1’ in support of the nation’s 1Malaysia vision). A new trend to premiere at the show is green furniture made from palm wood and other contemporary concepts and designs.
Key objectives for 2013’s edition include providing industry players a platform for export activities, offering exhibitors exclusive networking opportunities, building partnerships with potentials buyers and aiding with the expansion of businesses beyond borders. Other primary aspirations cover attracting more buyers to the exhibition to create a win-win-win situation as well as encouraging an increase in sales of local furniture products and overall export earnings.
