Flint Group’s Packaging and Narrow Web division is set to introduce a PUR-based ink system VarioLam for all major films in packaging printing. The ‘multi purpose’ system has been designed for lamination printing including retort applications.
VarioLam is the next generation flexo ink series with focus on lamination structures and is suitable for stand up pouches especially. It is free of PVB, NC and monomeric plasticizer and is also designed for laminations with solvent-based as well as solvent-free adhesives.
Flint Group has also developed the new water-based flexo ink series Premo Film SXS that provides a sustainable solution for surface printing on polyolefin films.
The ink series is suitable for compostable packaging and is based on a new self cross-linking technology that enables the ink film to have good adhesion to non absorbent substrates such as oPP and PE. Its adhesion makes it ideal for stringent end-use applications such as carrier and ice cube bags.
