US-based Hirzel Canning Co. & Farms has added three new varieties of Dei Fratelli Truly Tomatoes to its tomato products range in shelf stable carton packs from SIG Combibloc.
The three new varieties include Petite Cut Tomatoes in a Light Puree; Finely Chopped Tomatoes in a Light Puree with Onion, Carrot and Celery; and Rustic Cut Tomatoes in a Light Puree. The products are available at retailers across the nation.
According to SIG Combibloc, the new products offer a premium tomato product packed in an environmentally friendly carton pack. The packaging provides optimal protection for foods that retains quality over a prolonged period without the use of preservatives or refrigeration.
The BPA-free, aseptic carton pack is convenient to store, handle and dispose and is composed up to 75% wood fibers, a renewable resource.
Hirzel Canning Co. & Farms president Stephen Hirzel said: "Each variety of our Truly Tomatoes offers 'home chefs' a premium foundation for authentic soups, stews and sauces."
