UK-based Kimal has entered into an agreement to distribute Actuated Medical's TubeClear system throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
The FDA and CE marked TubeClear system incorporates reusable control boxes and single-use clearing stems.
By using Actuated's proprietary mechanical motion technology, TubeClear clears clogs in nasogastric feeding and decompression tubes, thus preventing disruptions in feeding and medication delivery and allows clinicians to maintain their focus on improving patient care.
Actuated Medical president Maureen Mulvihill said the TubeClear system will speed the process of unclogging tubes, save healthcare organizations money and improve clinical care.
"The real bonus of this new partnership is the addition of Alan Press, CEO of Kimal, to our Board of Directors," Mulvihill added.
