US-based food firm Kellogg has introduced several new breakfast products in an effort to meet the increasing demand for healthy breakfast options. The new products include Special K Nourish hot cereal and bars, and Kellogg's To Go breakfast shakes.
Kellogg Special K Nourish hot cereal is available in three flavors such as maple brown sugar crunch, cranberry almond, and cinnamon raisin pecan. It features a whole grain blend, including quinoa, oats, barley and wheat, and each serving provides 8g of protein and 5g of fiber.
According to the company, the hot cereal can be quickly prepared stirring in hot water or by adding cool water and heating in a microwave, while nuts and fruit are provided in a removable cap that can be consumed with the cereal.
The new Nourish nutrition bars, available in dark chocolate nut delight, cranberry almond, and lemon twist flavors, provide 5 grams fiber and 8 grams protein and each bar is made with premium ingredients such as quinoa, fruit, nuts, and seeds.
Kellogg's To Go breakfast shakes are available in three flavors - milk chocolate, vanilla and strawberry - and come in either an easy-to-mix powder or ready-to-drink-single serve bottles.
Other breakfast foods from Kellogg include Pop-Tarts Gone Nutty toaster pastries, Raisin Bran Healthy Heart Omega 3 cereal, Special K Multigrain cereal, Kashi GOLEAN Vanilla Graham Clusters, and Kashi Heart-to-Heart cereal.
Special K Nourish hot cereal will be available from summer 2013, while the other new products are now arriving in stores across the nation.
