Reusable packaging services and solutions provider Rehrig Bulk Pooling will provide complete transport packaging services and management for 15 Ball North American beverage can plants, as part of an agreement.
The company will manage all requirements pertaining to handling and reverse logistics that are necessary to service and maintain the reusable packaging assets of Ball.
Rehrig will recover, sort, inspect and clean/repair Ball's pallets, top frames and separator sheets, used in the storage and transport of empty metal containers upon return from its customers.
Ball metal beverage packaging division Americas Operational Planning and Logistics director Greg Wiggins said, "We believe this initiative will advance our sustainability efforts and create tangible value generation through a strategic approach within our supply chain."
US-based Rehrig, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rehrig Pacific Logistics, provides a range of reverse logistics, recycling and transport packaging material management services.
