Pillsbury, a brand owned by US-based General Mills, has introduced a new line of refrigerated gluten free doughs which complement its classic family favorites.
The new dough range includes Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Gluten Free Thin Crust Pizza Dough, and Gluten Free Pie and Pastry Dough.
Pie and Pastry Dough of 15.8oz. contains two 9" pie crusts and offers 250 calories per serving; Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in 14.3oz. tub makes approximately sixteen 2" cookies with 110 calories per serving; Thin Crust Pizza Dough in 13oz. tub makes one 10" pizza crust and offers 170 calories per serving.
Pillsbury fresh dough innovation marketing manager Rebecca Thompson said that Pillsbury Gluten Free Dough provides many possibilities and makes enjoying meals together easier.
"As a company, we are committed to the gluten free community and to providing great-tasting, easy-to-prepare products from brands they trust," Thompson added.
Pillsbury has partnered with 'Gluten Free Guru' Danna Korn and Iron Chef, cookbook author, TV personality and mom Chef Cat Cora to kick off the product launch.
Pillsbury product portfolio includes refrigerated cookies, crescent dinner rolls, breads, biscuits, pie crusts and sweet rolls as well as frozen biscuits, pie crusts and breakfast items.
