China-based vehicle manufacturer Great Wall Motors (GWM) has reported sale of 620,000 vehicles in 2012 an increase of 28.3% compared to the sales of 2011.
The company sold 281,200 SUVs a 71% rise, 206,200 passenger cars up by 2.8%, and 137,200 Wingle pickups, a 12.7% increase in year on year sales.
The company exported 96,500 units an increase of 16.1%compared to last year.
In 2012, the company reported a net profit of RMB5.7bn ($906m), an increase of 62.6% compared to the previous year.
Total profit for the year was RMB6.8bn ($1bn) and operating revenues of RMB43.16 ($6.9bn), an increase of 64.9% and 43.4% respectively over the last year.
In 2013, the firm expects to sell 700,000 units and introduce 13 new models including the Haval H2, Haval H8, Great Wall C50 2013, and the Wingle 6.
