Chevrolet is going to unveil the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro at the Belle Isle in Michigan on 16th May 2015.
The sixth generation car is expected to be smaller and lighter than the current edition, and is likely to feature 4-cylinder turbocharged engine option or a 2-liter LS3 V8 engine, which is presently featured in Corvette Stingray, reported Fox News.
The unveiling event is to be held at the 982-acre island park, which is home to the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, an auto-racing event in Detroit.
Camaro marketing manager Todd Christensen said: "This will be an event Camaro fans will not want to miss.
"This is only the sixth time we have introduced an all-new Camaro. We wanted to share the moment with the customers and fans who have helped make Camaro both America's favorite performance car for the past five years, and a cultural icon since 1967."
The attendees will also be provided a free tour of the "Camaro Museum" display, and they will also get the opportunity to meet with Camaro designers and engineers.
According to reports, the car will be built at GM's Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant.
