Mac Papers, the merchant distributors in the Southeast US, announced Chris Streibig will be its new paper sales manager for the company’s Miami branch, effective 1 January.
In this new role, Streibig will be responsible for managing the sales growth and performance of the branch’s longstanding paper business. Streibig succeeds Geoff Colton, who will retire at the end of the year after more than 44 years with Mac Papers.
In his new role, Streibig will be tasked with increasing sales of the company’s paper, specialty media and envelope business in the Miami area by developing and managing initiatives to create new demand for end-user print programs and grow market share. Streibig will also be responsible for deepening existing customer relationships by cross-selling the company’s full range of products across its print, packaging, facility supplies and office products business. He will oversee the branch’s paper sales team, including the hiring, training, performance management and continued development of the branch’s eight paper account managers.
“Our management philosophy at Mac Papers is to reward those who demonstrate hard work, success and commitment to growth by promoting them to new roles with greater responsibilities,” said Mac Papers’ Mark Joslin, general manager, Miami. “Chris has earned the respect of the Miami sales force and has developed the company and industry knowledge to step into the position with confidence. His adept sales approach and leadership skills will infuse innovation and his service excellence will lead this branch to next-generation success.”
For the past 19 years, Streibig has served as an account manager at Mac Papers, selling the company’s full product and service offering to a diverse customer base within the Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. During his tenure, Streibig has been nominated for the company’s Outstanding Salesperson of the Year award five times, and was awarded the honor in 2015.
Before joining Mac Papers, Streibig served as a sales representative for Kraft Foods. He is a 1994 graduate from Boston College, with a BS in psychology and management.
