China-based dairy company Mengniu has increased the production of its Tetra Prisma Aseptic portion packs with Tetra Pak A3/ Speed filling machine.
Tetra Pak claims that its filling machine runs at a speed of 24,000 packs per hour and is the fastest filling machine for carton packages. It also pushes operational cost down by 35%.
The dairy firm decided to purchase Tetra Pak A3/ machine in November 2012 based on a successful field test and the need to respond to the rising demand for its flavored milk, Latte.
Mengniu Ma'anshan City dairy plant factory manager Gao Jianjun said the company produced 100 million packages on a single line within ten months of installing the first Tetra Pak A3/ Speed.
"Based on these results, we made the decision to order three more lines," Jianjun added.
The machine is based on the Tetra Pak A3 platform designed as an integrated component of Tetra Pak's fully automated iLine offer.
It has been designed to produce Tetra Prisma Aseptic portion packs running at 24,000 packs per hour, Tetra Prisma Aseptic and Tetra Brik Aseptic family packs running at 15,000 packs per hour, and Tetra Brik Aseptic portion packages running at 24,000 packs/per hour.
