Intertek, the provider of quality and safety solutions, has been appointed for the inspection and audit of Food Business Operators(FBOs) by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
The Intertek Food laboratory in Gurgaon, Haryana, has been certified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing Laboratories.
Intertek will provide scheduled testing solutions for FBOs' food samples annually and will also train new food business operators for food safety management and systems, reported thehindubusinessline.com
This will not only enable FBOs to comply with the requirements under the FSS Act, but will also allow them to receive FSSAI license and its renewal.
