Finland-based Valmet will supply two pulp drying lines to Klabin's new plant in Ortigueira in Paraná, Brazil, as part of a supply contract.
According to Valmet, the pulp dryer investment is part of Klabin's Puma project, and a project of this size and scope is valued at €150m to €200m.
Klabin's new plant includes both softwood fluff pulp and eucalyptus hardwood market pulp and is anticipated to produce around 1.5 million tons annually.
The plant is expected to commence operations in the first half of 2016.
Klabin, which has 16 industrial plants of which 15 are in Brazil and one in Argentina, produces packaging paper and board, corrugated packaging and industrial bags.
