Barrick Announced Pueblo Viejo to Start the Commercial Exploitation of Gold Mine

Canada's Barrick Gold Corporation announced on Tuesday that the Pueblo Viejo gold in the Dominican Republic since it has been operated for five months, the gold mine has started commercial exploitation.

60% of the Pueblo Viejo gold was operated by Barrick, 40% held by Canada Gold Group. The gold cost 3700 million dollars to complete the construction, and created 11,000 jobs during the construction.

Goldcorp forecasted in another report that the gold production will be between 330,000 -435,000 ounces. In the first five years of operation, the company's annual gold production will be between 415,000 -450,000 ounces.
