Following the success of this year’s Big Cambridge Challenge, the Toy Trust has revealed that next year’s event will be taking place in the Cotswolds.
Taking place on May 6th, 2017, at Heythrop Park Hotel near Chipping Norton, guests will be able to take part in the 125km and 80km circular cycle rides, a 25km and 10km run and a 10km family jog or walk.
25 places for a local Tough Mudder have also been added to next year’s agenda for the first time.
“2017 is a landmark year for our industry charity,” said Foye Pascoe, chair of the Toy Trust.
“We have a whole year of exciting initiatives ahead of us, and the annual challenge will be our headline event. It is our aim to have more industry colleagues than ever before involved and we have set ourselves a very challenging target of raising £250,000.
"We are hoping that adding in activities such as the Tough Mudder will attract even more people and make this target a very real possibility, in a very special anniversary year.”
Money raised on the day will be given to charities under the banner of Giving the Gift of Play.
Pascoe added: “This cause is at the very heart of what the industry is about. The fact is there are so many ways that a child’s emotional and physical environment can be enhanced through play, especially when they are in crisis, and what better industry than our own to champion the cause.”
