US-based winery Southwest Wines is set to launch its recently renamed Soleil Mimosa in a new sustainable, 187ml aluminum slim can provided by packaging supplier Ball.
Ball metal beverage packaging division Americas senior vice president for sales Robert Miles said aluminum cans serve as the ideal packaging option for consumers and for all types of beverages as they can go anywhere and are 100% recyclable.
"With eye-catching graphics and unique shapes and sizes, aluminum cans give active consumers expanded opportunities and venues to enjoy beverages in nontraditional settings," Miles said.
The cans also offer flavor protection and extend the product's shelf life.
Ball claims that the stackable 187ml slim can contains the highest percent of recycled content on average of any beverage package and chills fast.
Earlier in 2012, Southwest Wines renamed the St Clair Mimosa beverage as Soleil Mimosa to capture the essence of the brand.
Southwest Wines produces more than 300 wines, including 50 wines that are produced under its own brands, while another 250-plus wines are produced on behalf of national retailers and wineries under private or control-label.
