Post Foods, a US-based cereal brands manufacturer, has introduced new Great Grains Protein Blend cereal, as part of its efforts to help Americans’ top resolution for 2013 to lose weight.
Available in two flavors - Cinnamon Hazelnut; and Honey, Oats & Seeds, the Great Grains Protein Blend cereals feature whole grain, natural fiber, protein and less processed ingredients.
The Honey, Oats & Seeds variety features whole grain flakes made with cracked wheat and whole kernel barley, sweetened with a hint of honey and combined with scoops of pumpkin seeds, almonds and multigrain clusters decorated with sunflower seeds. It offers 6g fiber, 8g protein and contains 35g of Whole Grain per serving.
The Cinnamon Hazelnut flavor has whole grain wheat, barley and oats, combined with scoops of hazelnuts, almonds and multigrain clusters with cinnamon. Each cup serving offers 7g of fiber, 8g of protein and contains 37g of Whole Grain.
Post Foods noted that all its Great Grains cereals are made with less processed grains for more wholesome nutrition in every bowl and each recipe offers at least 30g of whole grains per serving.
Ralcorp Holdings, a US-based food manufacturer, has completed the separation of Post Foods cereal unit through a tax-free spin-off to Ralcorp shareholders.
Post Foods products include from whole grain and fiber to lower sugar offerings. Its brands include Honey Bunches of Oats, Pebbles, Great Grains, Post Shredded Wheat, Post Raisin Bran, Grape-Nuts, and Honeycomb.
