B H Select Kosher Food Distributors is recalling Ortega brand Taco Seasoning Mix as it contains peanut and almond that are not mentioned on the label.
The product associated with the recall is 35.4g Ortega Taco Seasoning Mix bearing UPC code 0 39000 00820 4 with Best By date May 08 2016 S6.
The recall has been initiated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) inspection activities.
CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. It will issue Food Recall Warnings to warn the customers, if other high-risk products are recalled.
So far, no illnesses have been reported associated with the recall.
Consumption of the recalled product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in people allergic to peanut or almond.
