Finnish paper company UPM Raflatac has announced the opening of a new labelstock slitting and distribution terminal in Kiev, Ukraine, which will supply both film and paper label materials to Ukrainian customers.
UPM Raflatac area sales director, Eastern Europe and Middle East Dmitrij Strechin said the company is setting its service level in the dynamic market, by opening a new terminal.
"We'll be providing customers with finishing quality according to European standards, fast delivery to each part of this vast country, professional sales and technical support. We're confident our partners will enjoy real benefits," Strechin added.
According to the company, the printers in Ukraine will receive customs-cleared, net-width slit materials sold in local currency from a direct supplier. The terminal is further expected to strengthen the company's position in the Eastern European market.
UPM Raflatac said it has opened a labelstock factory in Poland and new slitting and distribution terminals in St Petersburg and Moscow in Russia, Istanbul, Turkey, between 2009 and 2012.
