First Ireland Spirit has launched its O'Mara's Irish Country Cream in the US in a new 1.5l PET bottle manufactured by global designer and manufacturer of plastic containers, Graham Packaging.
According to the Ireland-based company, the new bottle has a bigger size which represents better value for the consumer and the light weighted PET makes it easier for the consumer to handle and use.
Graham Plastic Packaging account manager Simone Gill said Irish Cream Liqueurs wanted the bottle to have specific color and light transmission properties to maintain shelf life.
"We developed the bottle that included a standard 31.5 x 44 neck finish, which negated any investment for new capping heads on the filling line," Gill said.
Major market for the First Ireland Spirit is the US with sales developing in Australia, New Zealand, Norway and the Ukraine.
PET bottle offers a number of significant savings, and more bottles can be fit into a container resulting in transport costs reduction due to weight savings.
