UK-based Dairy Crest has introduced Cheese & Toasties in a new single pack format under Chedds brand, the snacking brand from Cathedral City.
The single pack will comprise six slices of mild Cathedral City Cheddar and six pieces of Melba toast and will be available in cases of 12.
According to the company, Chedds contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives similar to other Cathedral City products.
Dairy Crest senior shopper marketing manager Adam Mehegan said that Chedds has already added value to the kid's cheese snacking category by attracting new shoppers and by encouraging existing shoppers to spend more.
"We want to help the convenience sector share more of this success by launching a format that is more relevant to the convenience shopper's missions and basket size," Mehegan added.
Chedds was launched in response to consumer demand for a children snack made with real natural cheddar. The Chedds range also includes Chedds Shapes, Chedds Towers and Chedds Nibbles.
