In the just concluded 112th Concours Lepine, Baosteel's 10 displayed inventions win 2 golden awards, 5 silver awards and 3 bronze awards, which ranks first among the domestic exihibitors.
Concours Lepine is one of the three largest world exhibition of inventions with a long history and a high reputation. It attracts over 500,000 visitors from all over France and the neighbouring countries this year.
In the exhibition scene, the inventions of Baosteel not only receive the affirmation of the judges but also intrigue keen interests among enthusiasts. Baosteel's 10 displayed inventions this time are mainly related with improving product quality as well as energy conservation and environmental protection, which make positive contribution to field production, cost decreasing and benefit increasing. The two inventions that win the golden awards are "Rolling feeder and conveying appliance used for 2-roller seamless steel pipe cold reduction mill" by CHEN Tao, Baosteel Special Material and "On-line filtering methods and devices for internal defect of superfine high tensile steel wire" by HU Donghui, Baosteel Metal. The former has 12 patents, which can promote the equipment performance, lower the potential hazards and reduce the related costs by over 2,000,000 annually and the latter can detect and filter impurities during on-line inspection, of which the accuracy takes the lead in the world.
Besides, the inventions that win the silver awards are "The integrated utilization technology of silicon steel blasting shot iron scale" by SONG Jun, Silicon Steel Department of Baosteel Ltd., "Processing and system of pulverized lime calcination" by WEI Jun, Steel-making Plant of Baosteel Ltd., "Integration technology of coke oven autocontrol" by JI Yilong, Meishan Steel Corporation of Baosteel Ltd., "A moving draught hood used for hot repair of ladle" by YANG Mingqing, Ninbo Steel and "A Martensitic Stainless Steel and its manufacturing method used for high-performance key componets" by WANG Min, Baosteel Special Material. The ones that win the bronze awards are "Resource utilization technology for electric power plant dry desulphurizing ashes" by GU Shunwen, Baosteel Development Corporation, "The device and methods of annular cooler waste heat recovery used for blast furnace ore&coke tank drying" by JIA Xiufeng, Ninbo Steel and "Integrated technology of off-line fine adjustment and on-line recycling application for pneumatic actuator driving parts" by HONG Hua, Power Plant of Baosteel Ltd.
