Japan's largest refiner, JX Nippon Oil & Energy, concluded its May Asia Contract Price for benzene at $1,268/mt CFR late Wednesday, up $3/mt from its April settlement, a company source said.
Thursday was a public holiday in Singapore.
The May settlement is $62/mt lower than its nomination for the month, at $1,330/mt.
The $3/mt increase in the May settlement price follows a $25/mt month-on-month drop in April.
