Medipak Systems Companies to Present Solutions for Efficient Packaging of Pharmaceutical Products

The Medipak Systems companies Rondo, Dividella and Mediseal are presenting solutions for efficient packaging of pharmaceutical products at FachPack 2016.

The event will take place on 3 days from 27 to 29 September 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany.

Rondo will be presenting solutions for tamper evidence and serialisation of secondary packaging.

Medipak says that the tamper evidence solution is integrated into the folding box and it can be activated without decreasing the speed of the machine on Mediseal cartoner.

Rondo also lets its customers for erecting folding boxes which can be filled later with the medical product.

Apart from the present options for semiautomated erection on special machines and fully automated erection with Dividella NeoTOP 804, customers can arrange for their folding boxes to be erected on a Dividella NeoTOP x.

The system can run between 50,000 and 300,000 items per year with smaller lot sizes being handled economically and flexibly. Apart from this, the new machine can offer functionalities such as producing Topload packs with a glued lid or glueing of additional lid panel.

Medipak says that at the FachPack, it will inform its customers about its topload packaging solutions. It says that throughout its product range it has been using monomaterial to keep the production and distribution costs as low as possible for its customers. Its range can produce between 100,000 to 125 million packs per year, covering clinical trials to large volumes for production.

The company also says that it will inform its customers about the possibilities of combining containment requirements into the packaging process of highly effective drugs or High-Potency Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (HPAPIs) in oral solid forms of medication.

While producing medicines with average to high pharmacological and toxic effects, even the small quantities of substances escaping in an uncontrolled manner can have serious consequences for employees and for the environment.

Using personal protection equipment can be problematic for employees can also lead to high cost of operating. Such scenarios can be replaced with technical solutions for containment and cleaning. Medipak says that in this way, danger to employees resulting from tablet breakages and faults can be avoided.
