Kumba Iron Ore Limited ("Kumba") announces the appointment of Norman Mbazima as CEO, effective 1 September 2012, following the appointment of Chris Griffith as CEO of Anglo American Platinum Limited.
Mr Mbazima has been CEO of Anglo American's Thermal Coal business since 2009 and was previously the CEO of Scaw Metals and joint acting CEO and CFO of the Platinum business.

Norman brings a wealth of experience across a number of mining businesses, from copper and platinum to coal. I would like to thank Chris for his impeccable leadership over the last four years and wish him all the very best as he takes on his next challenge at Anglo American Platinum."
