South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia Motors has introduced a new Provo hybrid sports coupe concept at the Geneva Motor Show.
The new two-door concept coupe is powered by a combination of a four cylinder turbocharged 1.6L GDI engine that generates an output power of 204ps and a smart-4WD-hybrid technology from an electric motor, which are mated to a seven-speed DCT transmission.
The electric motor delivers additional power to the rear wheels when needed in situations like cornering and strong acceleration as well as offer a power boost of 45ps, while it can also be activated through a button-activated creep-mode low speed to avoid emissions in city traffic.
Features of the new coupe include a dashboard incorporating two control hubs that include the engine stop-start button and drive selector for the seven-speed DCT transmission as well as a multi-media interface control.
Multi-media interface control offers driver with several screen displays with different modes including normal, cruise and track that allow controlling infotainment functions.
