Other circular promotions include $20 off a future purchase of $100 or more with a $100 or more purchase on Thanksgiving night or Black Friday and Buy One, Get One Half Off ammo. There are also specials for golf clubs ($100-200 off TaylorMade RB2 Pro Driver or Pro Fairway Wood), guns ($40 off $400-699.99 purchase) and softgoods ($15 off athletic footwear priced $59.99 and higher, $15 off Nike, Adidas or Reebok apparel.
At Bass Pro Shops, the outdoor specialty retailer has a promotional cadence similar to Warlmart's, five consecutive days of "Black Friday" deals from Nov.26 through Dec.1. Most of the sprcial prices on softgoods are for own brand merchandise, including $10 Bass Pro fleece.
Meanwhile, research and professional services firm BDO finds that 34% of US retaliers will have run most of their Holiday season promotions. A whopping 64% of retailers intend to offer more discounts and promotions this year than in 2013, the company found. Black Friday sales are forecast to rise 2.4%.
