Taiwan-based solar wafer maker Green Energy Technology (GET) has reported February consolidated revenues of NT$923 million (US$31 million), representing an on-month increase of 13.6% but an on-year decrease of 0.2%. The accumulated revenues for the first two months of 2013 are NT$1.734 billion.
According to the firm, the international market has strong demand for products with conversion efficiency above 17.6%, and hence the firm did not halt production during the Lunar New Year holidays in February. Currently, the capacity utilization rate is above 95% and supply remains tight.
Taiwan-based customers account for 50-60% of GET sales while China-based customers account around 30%. Firms from other Asia countries such as Japan and South Korea account for 10% of GET sales.
