In the hope of strengthening its managed services portfolio, du last week announced the launch of IT Management as a Service.
The UAE-based telco's solution delivers a cloud-based IT management and help desk service, which is delivered on a pay-as-you-use model. The solution provides features such as proactive system monitoring, patch management, disaster recovery, IT auditing, IT policy management and anti-virus management, among other advanced features, du said.
Announcing the launch of the service, which is being offered in partnership with IT Max Global and Kaseya, Hatem Bamatraf, Executive Vice President Enterprise Business, du, said that the new service would allow organisations to focus on their core business, rather than having to worry about maintaining network uptime.
"A growing business cannot afford to have downtime and does not have time to spend significantly on ensuring proper maintenance of its network. There is a growing realisation in the market about the benefits of a managed client-server network but enough attention is not being paid to the maintenance aspect of such solutions," he said.
"Our IT Management as a Service is a complete solution that ensures regular monitoring of the systems and proactively prevention of issues before they even occur. This lets businesses focus on what's most important –their core business."
The service offerings are scalable depending on different needs of customers and ranging from basic routines system maintenance to complete IT Management services in terms of troubleshooting, performance tuning, patch management, spyware, virus protection and removal or back-up and disaster recovery, du said.
According to the telco, IT management services account for more than 30 percent of the overall IT budgets for corporations. And the global market for IT management automation – or remote infrastructure management – is predicted to grow even higher in the next few year, du said.
