Private equity firm Advent International has acquired Noosa Yoghurt in the US for an undisclosed amount.
Noosa Finest Yoghurt is currently sold in more than 5,000 grocery, natural and specialty stores across the nation including Whole Foods Markets, Target, Safeway and Kroger.
Available in 13 flavours, Noosa is sold in 4oz variety packs and individual 8oz and 16oz cups.
Noosa's executive team will continue to operate by retaining minority ownership in the yogurt company.
Advent International managing director Jeff Case said: "Noosa is a dynamic business with an exciting growth story.
"The company's management team has done a great job establishing a market in North America for its flavorful yoghurt, and we see significant potential to further develop the business by extending its product line, increasing production capacity and expanding geographically."
Advent has so far invested in over 60 companies such as lululemon athletica, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Serta Simmons, Party City, Bojangles', Five Below and Charlotte Russe.
