German carmaker BMW along with Italian car designer and manufacturer Pininfarina has unveiled the new Gran Lusso Coupé concept at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2013 in Como, Italy.
Being the first car built through the collaboration, the new BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé is anticipated to be powered by a 6.0L V12 engine that currently powers the carmaker's 760Li luxury sedan and generates an output of 536hp.
BMW design head Karim Habib said that the Italian firm has always been a byword for these criteria in particular, demonstrating time and again its keen sensitivity and exceptional finesse in these areas.
"In Pininfarina we have found the ideal partner to lend shape to this vehicle concept," Habib said
The new two-door coupé, with long wheelbase, stretched bonnet, is equipped with a special-edition 21-inch wheels that incorporate matt-sheen aluminium, black, and black chrome.
According to BMW, the new concept offers balance and harmony by incorporating the German carmaker's technology, dynamics and precision together with the expertise of Pininfarina.
