Italian producer of pharmaceutical glass packaging Stevanato Group has invested around €22m to double the size of its manufacturing plant in Mexico.
The Mexican plant, which was opened in 2008 to serve the needs of the US market, measures 12,000m2 after doubling the size which will allow an increase in production that conforms to the international pharmaceutical primary packaging quality standards.
Stevanato Group has also developed EZ-fillTM, a process that guarantees the sterilization of glass containers.
The technology has been created and developed in partnership between the Research and Development department, the Glass Division and the Engineering Division.
Monterrey facility produces glass containers such as vials, ampoules and cartridges for pharmaceutical use.
