It is reported that Ternium, an Integrated steelmaker based on the Italian-Argentinean Techint group, announced that the company plans to start of its new galvanizing line in Mexico early in the second half of 2013.
The new plant will be able to high-specification steel products for the automotive industry.
Meanwhile, the company has indicated that new project which ‘s built in the northeastern state of Nuevo León, includes the construction of two mills: a galvanizing unit, named Tenigal, a joint venture between Ternium (51%) and Nippon Steel (49%), and a cold-rolling plant. The company’s total investments reached US$330 million and US$770 million, respectively.
