BMW is planning to introduce additional engines and equipment options to BMW 2 Series, the BMW 3 Series and the BMW 4 Series which is expected to improve the overall performance of the cars.
The company announced that the model variants introduced in the spring of 2015 will feature the company's TwinPower Turbo technology.
BMW 218i Coupe and BMW 218i will feature 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque.
Customers will also be given an option to combine it with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission.
BMW 2 SeriesActive Tourer is also expected to be powered by a three-cylinder engine capable of producing 95 hp and 220 Nm of torque.
The new engine is also likely to bring down the fuel consumption to 3.9 and 3.8 litres/100 km.
BMW is also introducing range of optional equipment to enhance the driving experience of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer.
BMW 316d Sedan and, 316d Touring will be equipped with four-cylinder 2-litre diesel engine capable of producing 116 hp, and 270 Nm of torque, and customers will have an option to combine it with the 8-speed Steptronic transmission.
BMW 4 Series will also be updated with the latest generation engine and BMW 5 Series models will feature four-cylinder diesel engine of the latest generation and xDrive.
