Chicken and Veal Wurst Recalled They May Be Contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes

Australia-based Melbourne Kosher Meats has recalled Chicken and Veal Wurst as they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).

The product associated with the recall is 200g 'Melbourne Kosher Butchers Chicken and Veal Wurst', bearing Best Before date of 1 April 2013.

This recalled product was distributed to Melbourne Kosher Meats in St Kilda and Meal Mart in Balaclava, Victoria.

Customers are requested to return the recalled product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Consumption of products containing Listeria monocytogenes may cause serious and sometimes fatal infection in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
